Muskox (Ovibos moschatus)
Above are the peak of ”Snøhetta” Dovrefjell, the area where Wildlife Photographer Roger Brendhagen together with Even Hønsen Agerup and his wife helped us very successfully to find the Muskox.
The Muskox is a surviving species of the Pleistocene megafauna which survived the ice age, and they are the largest herbivore of the Arctic.
The Muskox lives on the Arctic tundra in Greenland, Canada and Alaska.
Small flocks have been implanted in Russia and also at Dovrefjell in Norway which are the area visited.
